This SPACE talk series focuses on the annual theme of Exploring Knowledge through the Senses. The first was given by Juan Gomez-Perales, DRAWING IN 4 DIMENSIONS: Perceptions of the worldline with a general discussion on THE SENSES AND THE ARTS on February 11th, 2010.
The second talk, given by Chris Roderick and Francesca Theriault, centers on THE SENSES AND THE SCIENCES:

Francesca M. Therriault studied Liberal Arts in her undergrad, travelled extensively, worked for year in tourism, returned to school and eleven years later graduated with a Doctorate in Neurobiology from McGill?s Montreal Neurological Institute. She is currently the Science Program Coordinator and Chair of the Biology Department at Dawson.
Chris Roderick studied graphic arts and music for five years in high school before having a really fantastic science teacher in grade 13. Now, he has a wife, two sons, a PhD in polymer physics, and a goal : to teach physics. He has been at Dawson ever since.
