SPACE Writing Contest Workshop

Return to description.

Note: Students enrolled in the certificate who participate in this workshop activity will receive 2 credits.

Get inspired. Get advice. Get writing!

WHAT IF you were to submit your writing to the upcoming SPACE writing contest—deadline Dec. 18? WHAT IF you wanted to learn more about the contest first? WHAT IF you could get some tips on how to improve your submission? WHAT IF you’re wondering how to relate your submission to the arts, sciences and this year's theme: WHAT IF?

Explore all these WHAT IF? questions and more at the upcoming workshop for students interested in submitting their work to the 5th annual SPACE writing contest, hosted by SPACE co-coordinator, English and Creative writing teacher Andrew Katz.

To get the most out of the workshop, please prepare to discuss and bring an example of something you’ve already written or are currently working on that you are thinking of submitting to the writing competition—even if it is just an outline or idea. If you could reflect on, or put into one or two sentences, how your work/idea connects the sciences and/or technology to the arts, culture or society, that would be useful as well.

Date: Friday, November 18, 2023
Time: 2:30-3:45 p.m.
