To fulfill the co-curricular requirement of the SPACE: Arts and Sciences Certificate, students must complete one of the following course / additional activity credit combinations.
* One cross listed course plus 15 credits of additional activities
or
* Two cross listed courses plus 12 credits of additional activities
or
* Three cross listed courses plus 9 credits of additional activities

NOTE: cross listed courses must be taken in ADDITION to the foundational knowledge requirement for the certificate.
Additional acitivity credits are accumulated through involvement in activities taking place outside of the classroom. Additional activities can include:
- Submitting and publishing written, visual, audio or other work (classwork or independent work) on the SPACE website
- Participating in editorial meetings (SPACEmag) for content published on the SPACE website
- Working on an episode of SPACEpod (the SPACE podcast)
- Organizing social media for SPACE
- Organizing social events for SPACE
- Organizing and/or presenting at a talk, workshop, conference, showcase or other academic/creative SPACE or SPACE-affiliated event
- Participating in a SPACE or SPACE-affiliated competition
- Attending excursions
- Attending events
- Attending SPACEcorp meetings
- Doing research
To claim additional activity credits:
Fall 2021—Additional Activities (activities will be updated throughout the semester)
October 13, 2021: Codetober workshop (2 credits)
October 29, 2021: The Infinite Phi Centre Outing (2 credits)
November 6-7, 2021: McGill Hackathon (3 credits)
CRC Robotics: (5 credits)
November 29, 2021: Interconnections (2 credits)
Fourth Annual Writing Contest: submission (2 credits)
AI Launch Workshops: must attend 6 of 8 workshops (5 credits)
Publication of piece on SPACE website (2 credits)
SPACEcorp meetings (5 meetings 3 credits)—maximum 9 credits
SPACEmag meetings (5 meetings 3 credits)—maximum 9 credits
