Note: a reflective response of the outing to the Phi Foundation Terms of Use exhibit counts for 2 credits towards the SPACE certificate.

Thanks for your interest in visiting the exhibition Terms of Use!

You are invited to write a reflective response of your visit which you can submit through the form below. This could also end up as a potential publication on the Website!

Reflective Response

The Terms of Use exhibition at the PHI Foundation for Contemporary Art explores the manners in which technologies influence us as individuals but also as a collective whole, and questions how we live both online and AFK (away from keyboard). It points out the complexities of our relationship with technology and asks us to question our daily interactions with it.

In contemporary culture, we share our lives between a lived reality and a virtual, online reality. What if these realities were to collide, or to switch places? What if our virtual selves took over as our real selves? What if the technologies that we employ on a daily basis are in fact using us more than we are using them?

Select one work from the exhibition and explore the above “What if” questions, as well as any others than come to mind. Your reflective response could take the form of a poem, creative writing piece, essay, or other.

Style Guidelines:
Maximum 2 pages, typed, double-spaced (roughly 500 words)
Arial, 11 pt. font
Provide an image of your chosen artworks, and include the artist, title and date of the works.
Don’t forget to include citations if you use any reference material in your paper (i.e. the wall text must be cited).
