Come and join the S.P.A.C.E. team for a pop-up choir event with Kathy Kennedy. Kathy will guide participants through three songs: Never Give Up by Sia; Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers (with Coldplay); and, Anthem, by Leonard Cohen. This is an activity for ALL singing levels (never sung out loud before to professional singer!), and for ALL Dawsonites (students, staff, faculty and beyond). If you would like to bring a class please RSVP (there is room for one class only!). Bring friends, colleagues and singers along!

Kathy Kennedy is a community artist, vocalist and choir director in Montreal. She is the founder of the innovative singing group Choeur Maha, and a co-founder of Studio XX, digital media centre for women.
She currently teaches music at Concordia University, and lectures widely on acoustic ecology and deep listening.

July 31, 2026Spontaneous group singing is one of those things that sounds gimmicky described and works completely in person. The gap between description and experience is the interesting part.
