The millions of refugees who leave their homeland in search of a better life are surely navigating entropy one determined step at a time. SPACE is pleased to host two local experts on refugees to Canada: Paul Clarke, the Executive Director of Action Réfugiés, and Marjorie Villefranche, the Directrice Générale de La Maison d’Haiti. They will consider the challenges refugee claimants face upon arrival in Canada and recommend improvements to the refugee determination system. They are keenly interested in public perceptions of the increase in people crossing into Canada on foot from the USA. Mr. Clarke and Ms. Villefrance will also offer suggestions as to how we local residents might become involved in providing support to refugees.
