The United Nations has proclaimed 2009 the International Year of Astronomy (IYA2009) in commemoration of the first astronomical use of the telescope in 1609. This started a scientific revolution which radically altered our view of the world. To this date telescopes on earth, and now in space, continue to explore the universe.

In the third annual Mini-Science, top scientific minds give lectures that enlighten, entertain and demystify their cutting-edge research on Space, Stars, and the Universe. The public is welcome to participate in this unique program that brings people together with experts in the field of science and related disciplines at McGill to learn the latest in space exploration.

No science background is required and there is no homework and no exam.
